Hi! We’re Maddy and Seb—two fairly capable humans who bought a very dramatic house.
Level-ish is our place to document the slow, slightly unhinged transformation of a 1930s Queenslander with more personality than structural integrity. We’re not professional builders. We’re not interior designers. We’re just learning as we go—with a spirit level in one hand, and a vacuum (or wine) in the other.
This blog is part photo journal, part emotional support archive, and part renovation reality check. You’ll find:

We started Level-ish because we wanted a record of the chaos—but also because we believe there’s beauty in the mess, meaning in the dust, and humour in every slightly slanted wall. We’re big believers in storytelling, slow progress, sustainable choices, and loving the home you have—even if it’s being held up by paint fumes and prayer.
